From the East
Brethren,
I would like to thank all who attended our stated meeting in January.
We had Brother Neil Anthony Moran give back his Master Mason’s Catechism and he did outstanding job. We elected a new candidate and will hold an EA degree on February 1, 2012 at the lodge. Please come out and support the lodge if you can. We will be voting on another petition at the February stated.
I have been busy attending lodges in our district and outside the district. We have had a great showing of officers and members from our lodge in attendance also with me. Prince George #115 is well represented. Great job!!
As we move into February we also get the cold weather so stay warm in your daily travels.
On December 19, 2011 a few of the lodge brethren traveled to Lucy Core Home in Chesterfield and presented Brother G. T. Hawkins his 50-year Veterans Emblem. A special thank you to all who were able to attend.
I want to thank Right Worshipful Carl Pippin for getting some of the Brethren together on Saturday January 7, 2012 to work on the lodge and also the brethren that turned out to help. It really looks good.
We had our Craftsman Club meeting on January 14, 2012 at the lodge and had a good breakfast and great fellowship. Election of Officers was held President- Roy B. Pugh III, Vice President- Jimmy Tomko, and Treasurer- Joey B. Collins. I would like to thank the outgoing officers for there dedication and many years of service. We will be having our annual Barbecue sale on April 21; so put this on your calendar and come out to help cook and prepare the food on April 20 at the lodge.
We will also have a spaghetti dinner on May 12 to raise money for the scholarship fund. This is a great way to show support for our community so please help us by attending the dinner. I plan to present scholarships at our June stated.
We will have our official visit from the District Deputy Grand Master, RW Ralph Bartley on February 2. Please plan to attend if possible and enjoy the great meal the brethren will prepare and hear some good words from our District Deputy Grand Master that night.
Please remember our Brethren who are sick and distressed and let us not forget why we became MASONS.
Sincerely and Fraternally
Robert Loftis WM
